dec 19, pt 3: nap fail

unfortunately, our well-deserved nap turned intoa 5-hour nap fail when i awoke, checked my watch and said, 'keya, unless my math is wrong, it's 12:40' to which she replied 'it's 12:36' after consulting with her phone.
i thought it would be primetime to hit coco walk as asian countries function on fashionably late. but when we got to the walk, we were sorely disappointed.
at this point, tube was closed as was its neighbour with the skeletal server. we were losing hope and keya especially was losing steam. but we gained resolve and hit the rock pub, which we had discussed prior - we'd need to be superwasted to enjoy this kitschfest patroned by ac/dc asian doppelgangers.
although it was our first drink of the night, they were the only place opened past 1 and i am pretty glad we got to experience it.
asian kids thrashing. asian cover band doing all sorts of classic and alternative rock. head banging. people jumping on stage.
all in all, a very rockin time that looked like pure happiness to everyone involved. it definitely helped us redeem our nap fail. and taught us this lesson: set alarm for late evening nap. which is a good partner to this previous lesson: make sure to set the am/pm right on the alarm.
